Homelessness and Encampment Response Strategy going to Council Today

Item 6.5, "Homelessness and Encampment Response Strategy" is going to Council's Community and Public Services Committee this morning. Shared last Friday, there are 3 attachments for this item in today's agenda. Members of the public can still register to speak on this item today (https://bit.ly/3OwkQnZ). Jim Gurnett will be representing ECOHH, ECOHH's submission can be accessed here.

Jim was recently interviewed and included in an article for the Edmonton Journal on encampments, linked here, “We’ve criminalized (encampments) and the police run around deciding when and where to tear their homes down and throw all their possessions in the garbage. That’s not how you treat human beings.”
