Here’s a roundup of housing news and issues that we noticed this week:
From ECOHH’s social media
Maria Dunn is a strong friend of ECOHH with a deep commitment to the right of every person to adequate housing. She has often offered songs as part of ECOHH events, going back to Homefest days. And during the awful days of late 2023-early 2024 when the enhanced assault on people seeking to survive outside began and ECOHH called on Edmontonians to come out and bear witness as these actions took place, Maria was there, day after day, in the coldest of winter. She has just released a new album and several of the songs explore the importance of home and the mistreatment of people who are without housing. One song is based on one of the people in ECOHH treasurer Eric Rice's documentary "This is where we live." Highly recommended.
